Safety Surfacing
We can provide the right safety surface to meet your needs.
The majority of play equipment requires some form of safety surface to protect children should they fall. In some cases (for low level play equipment) installation onto grass is acceptable.
But in the event that equipment is being installed on - for example - a tarmac covered playground, then a safety surface will need to be installed underneath the equipment. Not only that, it must comply with European Safety Standard BSEN1177 to ensure the correct depth of surfacing is in place to cover the fall height from the equipment being installed.
We own our own safety surface company - Playgrounds UK. This means that we can control the quality of safety surface and plan installations more effectively. It also means that you don’t have to worry about subcontractors and the problems of dealing with 2-3 companies to have your playground installed. With Creative Play, everything you need comes from just one company.
We provide a choice of 4 of the most popular safety surfaces for schools, nurseries and local councils - wetpour, rubber mulch, Playsafe and artificial grass.
Our surfaces are virtually maintenance free, come with a 5 year guarantee and are installed to European Safety Standard BS EN 1177.
Visit our Playgrounds UK site.
Note: we do not provide any Loose Impact Attenuating Surface (‘loosefill’). Experience shows that natural and synthetic loosefill requires high maintenance, constant (and costly) replenishment and natural loosefill can also be a health hazard.
